Dąb Antyk IV — Surface and Character

The Dąb Antyk IV product by MAD is protected with natural hardwax oil, which enhances the oak structure without concealing its authentic appearance. The surface remains natural and does not evoke an artificial effect. It is an appropriate choice for those wanting to maintain the natural character of the floor.

The appearance of this floor also depends on the wood grade chosen. The Natural grade creates a calmer board image. In the Standard grade, you will notice greater color variation, a richer pattern, healthy knots up to 25 mm, small cracks filled with putty, black knots up to 5 mm, and occasional light sapwood. The Rustic grade further highlights the natural features of the wood, with color variations, discolorations, and knots up to 30 mm.

The Dąb Antyk IV floor, displayed in different lighting, shows the variability typical of natural wood. The grain, knots, and shades may vary in visibility depending on the amount of light. If you're wondering what wood grading means, a guide will explain these issues using flooring examples.
