About the product
Dąb Kelvin by MAD
Dąb Kelvin, offered by the manufacturer MAD, is an oak wood floor in a light shade, finished with oil. The main advantage of this product is the harmonious combination of natural appearance with functionality: the floor is suitable for underfloor heating, and the oiled surface can be easily refreshed locally.
What Makes Dąb Kelvin Stand Out?
Dąb Kelvin is a product of the Polish manufacturer MAD, reflecting high quality standards and precision craftsmanship. This flooring is characterized by a light coloration and subtle wood structure with natural grain. Such a shade not only brightens the interior but also provides a neutral backdrop for various types of furniture and accessories. Dąb Kelvin pairs well with both modern and classic arrangements.
The oil finish is a key asset of this floor. The oil highlights the wood grain, giving it a natural look and facilitating surface refreshing, which is important for everyday use. The Dąb Kelvin version compatible with underfloor heating allows you to enjoy the warmth of the floor without sacrificing the aesthetics of wood.
The application of this flooring makes interiors brighter and more organized. In large rooms, it creates a uniform, calm base, while in smaller spaces, it adds optical lightness. It is a choice for those who value natural oak floors for their durability, comfort, and ease of adaptation to different styles.
Dąb Kelvin — Suitable Interiors and Audience
Dąb Kelvin is a proposition for those who wish to combine the aesthetics of wood with ease of use. The light color of the floor can visually enlarge the space, making it functional in both smaller and larger rooms. With its subtle grain, it harmoniously fits into various design styles, from classic to modern, without dominating the decor.
The oil finish enhances the natural structure of the wood while allowing for easy renovation without the need to sand the entire surface. Such a floor ensures long-lasting use and works with underfloor heating systems, offering thermal comfort without compromise.
For those who prefer solid solutions, a 20 mm thick variant is available, which can be installed on joists or glued directly to the substrate. You can choose from three wood grades: Natural, Standard, and Rustic, allowing for individual adaptation to the interior.
Dąb Kelvin — Surface and Character
Dąb Kelvin is finished with natural hardwax oil, which not only highlights the grain but also provides depth to the wood. The surface is breathable and pleasant to the touch, making daily maintenance easier. Local renovation is one of its advantages, meaning scratches and signs of use can be removed without renewing the entire floor.
This is a light oak floor with a subdued tone that enhances the interior space, and thanks to its natural grain, it introduces lightness. The shade works with daylight, promoting a natural look for the interior. The floor can also be found in the category of light wooden floors.
The wood grade significantly affects its character. In the Standard grade, there is a large color variation and a distinct structure. Healthy knots up to 25 mm, small filled cracks, dark knots up to 5 mm, and a small amount of sapwood may occur. The Rustic grade provides a more natural effect with intense shade differences, healthy sapwood, and larger knots up to 30 mm, provided they do not pass through to the underside of the board.
