Dąb Secretariat — Surface and Character

Dąb Secretariat by MAD, finished with durable hardwax oil, is ready for installation. This finishing method highlights the natural oak grain and provides a matte appearance without excessive gloss, increasing the floor's resistance to wear and allowing for spot renovation. Light shades and subtle color differences harmonize well with lighting, giving a sense of lightness during the day and a warmer character in the evening.

Natural wood emphasizes the grain, tonal diversity, and typical oak features, which develop a patina over time. The Standard grade offers a wealth of colors, varied structure, healthy knots up to 25 mm, and black knots up to 5 mm. The Rustic grade enhances the effect with a wider range of discolorations and larger knots up to 30 mm.

For maintaining a floor finished with hardwax oil, appropriate care products are recommended.

Dąb Secretariat — Technical Specifications

Dąb Secretariat is produced by MAD and made from oak. Available as solid or engineered wood board, finished with durable hardwax oil and ready for installation. The engineered version is suitable for underfloor heating. We offer a free quote.

For solid boards, dimensions are available: thickness 16 mm or 20 mm, width from 120 to 185 mm, length 400–2000 mm or 400–1400 mm. Engineered boards have a thickness of 13/4 mm or 15/6 mm, width 130, 150, 170, 190 mm, and length 600–1800 mm. Boards with a thickness of 20 mm can be installed on joists or glued directly to the substrate.

Grades include Natural, Standard, and Rustic. The Standard grade allows intense discolorations, healthy knots up to 25 mm, also with small filled cracks, black knots up to 5 mm, and a limited amount of sapwood. The Rustic grade accepts wide discolorations, healthy sapwood, and healthy or slightly decayed knots up to 30 mm, if they do not completely penetrate the wood. Rot and insect damage are excluded.
